Tipp Today – Wednesday January 10th 2018

Today’s Tipp Today came live from Nenagh! Fran began with the weekly Wednesday focus with Helen England where they spoke about our perception of women in the media. We were joined live in studio by Liam Minihan from Fight the Pipe on the news that Irish Water are now a year behind schedule in their water extraction plans and we had a review of the local papers with show Producer Trudy Waters.

In the second hour of this mornings show, Fran spoke to TD Alan Kelly who was highly critical of some accusations levelled at him in relationt o his work in exposing the financial irregularities in Templemore Garda college. We also spoke to Renua Leader John Leahy about how vulture funds are not targeting farms and land in rural Ireland and we spoke to Aine Ni Chonaill from the Immigration Control Platform who is calling for tighter controls on the numbers of immigrants we allow in to the country.


In the final part of this mornings Tipp Today, Fran spoke to Jonathon Irwin who founded the Jack and Jill foundation about his new project. Jonathon wants to develop a horse care rehabilitation in Irish prisons, a project which has the support of the Turf Club. We also had our psychotherapy slot with Joannes Berkery and we spoke to Marie O’Sullivan live in studio! Marie runs the Art and Healing centre in Nenagh and she spoke to us about her upcoming ‘Dancing the Rainbow’ workshops.
