Fine Gael’s Garret Ahearn has been elected as the Mayor of Clonmel.
His confirmation as mayor happened at yesterday’s AGM of the Clonmel Municipal District.
Cllr Ahearn, who is also a general election candidate, took the chains at his first meeting since being elected to the district on his first attempt.
Garret joined Fran in studio on Thursday.
