Sharon Walsh is the mother of young Carrick-on-Suir man Mikey McGrath who earlier this year lost his life to suicide.
He was just twenty years old.
Sharon says that the country is in the midst of a suicide epidemic and the government needs to urgently address mental health services.
Sharon and her brother Jason spoke to Fran on Monday.
