Emergency repairs have been completed on a water main which caused disruption to many parts of Thurles.
Irish Water and Tipperary County Council say the repairs were required on damage caused by construction work carried out by a third party in the area.
Water supply is expected to be fully restored in the coming hours.
Concerns had been raised by some locals that the disruption prevented the possibility for proper handwashing during Coronavirus containment measures.
