Two men have drowned in a diving accident in north Tipperary.
It’s believed that the men had been in water at a quarry in Portroe, when the drowning occurred at around 1.30pm.
Emergency services had been called to the scene, including local coast guard units.
Their bodies have been removed to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem analysis.
Gardai are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
