The long running saga over the deplorable state of Suir Bridge in Thurles is set to come to an end.
Having completed its report on the Mid Tipp structure Transport Infrastructure Ireland is set to fast track works to repair it properly once and for all.
In the interim Tipperary County Council will carry out remedial works if required to deal with some of the large craters that have developed on the bridge in recent weeks.
The news was confirmed to Cathaoirleach of the Templemore Thurles Municipal District Seamus Hanafin and speaking to Tipp FM news he says the TII are going to act immediately now
