A Tipperary TD is being accused of favouring South Tipperary over the north of the county.
It comes as two rail lines in the Premier County are under threat as part of efforts by Irish Rail to save money.
Both the Limerick – Ballybrophy line which runs through North Tipp and the Limerick Junction to Waterford route which traverses South Tipp may be targeted.
Labour TD Alan Kelly has hit out Deputy Mattie McGrath’s apparent refusal to support the Ballybrophy line.
