Top volunteer award for Clonmel woman

 

 

A Clonmel woman has been named as the countries top volunteer in the Children and Youth category at the 2012 Panadol Volunteer Ireland awards held in Dublins City Hall last night.
Cel Fennessy  was presented with her award by  Lord Mayor of Dublin Naoise Ó Muirí, for her oustanding contribution to the youth sector in Clonmel.
The awards now in their fifth year.
Denis Heffernan from Emly was also recognised for his committment to Emly Tidy Towns and was one of three nominees shortlisted in the Animals and Environment category.
Derek Fanning from South Tipperary Volunteer Centre said it was an outstanding achievement that 2 volunteers from South Tipperary were among the 31 shortlisted for the. awards.
