Tipperary to lose one T.D

As well as having just one County Council, Tipperary is also set to have just one constituency for Dail elections.

The Irish Times reports that the constituency commission will recommend major changes across the country which will see seats being lost in Munster, Dublin and Connacht-Ulster.

Tipperary will go from two separate 3-seat constituencies to one single 5-seater.

Nationally the number of T.D's is to be reduced by 8 from 166 to 158.
