Local authority staff across Tipperary and in particular around the Clonmel area are being praised for all their efforts during the recent storm and floods.
Conditions are starting to ease and while further rain is forecast later this week a repeat of the severe weather which knocked trees and power lines isn't expected.
Many council workers and members of Civil Defence were working round the clock in the stormy conditions-
