Tipperary go to the polls for Seanad and Court of Appeal referenda.

Over 300 polling booths across County Tipperary have been open since 7 o'clock as people cast their vote on on two referenda.

The first is whether or not to abolish the Seanad and the other the proposed creation of a new Court of Appeal.

Voting has been slow so far but is expected to pick up through the day.

Polling stations will remain open until 10 pm this evening with counting of ballots getting underway at 9 tomorrow morning.
