Tipperary fined for missing drug tests

Tipperary was among several inter-county teams that have been fined for missing drug tests last year.

Clare, Cork, Galway and Limerick were also fined along with the footballers from Donegal and Kildare.

The Irish Examiner obtained the figures under the Freedom of Information Act…

The Irish Sports Council, who administer the tests, say that 89 players were tested last year , 44 were tested after games while 45 were tested during collective training all tests came back clear.

Anti doping director Dr Una May says she has no concerns about doping in GAA adding that when teams miss test it's generally because of late changes of training venues due to poor weather or pitch conditions.
