Improved water supply for Carrick on Suir residents

Works getting underway this week in Carrick on Suir will improve water supply for its residents.

A five kilometre section of mains which continuously bursts is to be replaced in a major project being undertaken by Irish Water.

The work will take about 5 months to complete and there will be traffic disruption, as well as some disruption to water supply.

Paul Moroney, project manager for the Leakage Reduction Programme for the region, says people will be warned well in advance if their water supply will be shut off for a time, but they’ll try to keep that to a minimum…
