Tipp LEO creates over 200 new jobs in 2015

In all LEO supported clients are now employing over thirteen hundred people in the Premier County.

Tipperary Local Enterprise Office is supporting 282 client companies across the County.

Between them they are employing a total of 1,319 people either full or part-time.

Tipperary's Local Enterprise Offices are in Nenagh and Clonmel where they provide a range of supports to assist both new and established businesses.

These include an initial “First Stop Shop” for business information, management skills training, business advice, networking opportunities and financial supports.

Last year LEO clients created a total of 201 new posts in the Premier County – however the net gain for the year stood at 122.

Nationally there was a net gain 3,533 full and part time jobs in 2015 created by Local Enterprise Office supported companies.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Mary Mitchell O'Connor described it as a remarkable achievement and testament to the hard work of entrepreneurs in local communities all around the country.
