Footballers can topple Armagh says former All Star Lacey

Peter Creedon's men will get their league campaign underway this Sunday in their opening game in Division 3.

They'll travel to the Athletic Grounds to take on Armagh and Brian Lacey says the Tipp Seniors have the ability to defeat their Northern opponents.

He said: “Kieran McGeeney’s teams are built around a defensive system and they’re very strong and aggressive and physical. But I think that’s one area where Tipperary could exploit them.

“I don’t think they [Armagh] have the forwards up front to put up huge scores against a team whereas Tipperary does have a lot of natural forwards.

“If they can get a run at all against Armagh, Tipp have the scoring forwards  to actually put up a good score and come out with a victory up there.”

Throw-in is at 2 o'clock on Sunday and Tipp FM will bring you full live coverage in association with Supermacs.
