Hotels and guesthouses in Tipperary Town and it’s environs are in for a pre-summer financial boost.

The arrival of the Rás Tailteann towards the end of May will result in hundreds of people spending a night in the area.

Day 2 of Ireland’s biggest cycling event will bring the riders and race entourage from Athlone to West Tipperary – along the way it will pass through Cloughjordan, Nenagh, Hollyford, Cappawhite and Monard.

Race Director Eimear Dignam says the event will mean a lot for businesses in Tipp town.
