Strong interest reported in Thurles’ Anner Hotel.

The Mayor of Thurles says that hopes are high in the town that the sale of the Anner Hotel will go ahead in the near future.

The 95 bedroom hotel has been on the market for some time but recently has hit the national property pages and is attracting interest.

Receivers were appointed to the property several months ago – the hotel has continued to trade as normal.

Tenders are due to close on the 15th February for the hotel which has an asking price of €1.1 million.

Mayor Michael Grogan says that there has been a good deal of interest in purchasing the hotel, some of it from the locality.
