Major funding has been approved for Mullinahone Community Council to develop a playground in the village.
Fine Gael T.D. Tom Hayes has confirmed €198,000 for the project which he says will be of great benefit to the local community.
This funding is provided under the Village Renewal and Development measure of the Rural Development Programme.
Deputy Hayes has praised the Community Council for their efforts.
