The Dáil last night passed a motion which called for the new National Maternity Hospital to be built on the St Vincent’s Hospital campus as quickly as possible and remain entirely within public ownership.

The Sinn Féin motion also included proposals for universal access to foetal anomaly screening and a commitment to work with nursing and medical unions in the recruitment and retention of medical staff.
