Motorsport Ireland says it deeply regrets that a competitor passed away following injuries received in a tragic accident during the Carrick-on-Suir Motor Clubs Ravens Rock Rally yesterday.
Paul Mulcahy from Dungarvan, Co.Waterford, died from injuries sustained in a crash on stage 4 of the event.
His co-driver who was also injured was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The remainder of the event was cancelled as a mark of respect by the organisers and the association says it wishes to extend their heartfelt sympathy to Paul's family and friends.
