Seamus Healy calls for Gardaí to investigate tracker scandal

The Taoiseach says it’s not his responsibility to order the fraud squad to examine the tracker mortgage scandal.

It follows calls from Tipperary TD Seamus Healy for the fraud squad to be ordered to haul in the Chief Executives of the banks for questioning.

Yesterday the governor of the Central Bank admitted banks may have colluded in removing people from the preferential mortgage products.

However Deputy Healy says it may already be too late for Gardaí to act.
