Save Our Local Community group to meet with the Justice Minister.

Following a mass public meeting in Thurles in October, the group sent a letter requesting a meeting with Frances Fitzgerald to discuss what can be done to tackle the rate of crime across the county.

That meeting has now been agreed to by the Minister and will take place next month.

It will be held on the 8th December in Dublin and will focus on bail laws, the collection of fines, tagging and a review of Garda procedure and profiling in rural Ireland.
