Row over payments to subcontractors of Tipperary construction company rumbles on.

A subcontractor says he intends to take legal action in a bid get money he claims he is still owed by a Tipperary based construction company.

Seamus Cusack was one of a number of subcontractors who staged a protest at the new national school in Kilfinane, County Limerick last month.

They took the action in a bid to secure moneys owed to them by the main contractor, DPB Construction of Knockhill, Roscrea.

At the time it appeared a resolution had been found when DPB claimed the terms of a full and final payment had been reached with the subcontractors after the protest ended.

However Seamus Cusack of Dovetail Fitted Furniture in Murroe says he is still owed €8,000 of the €43,000 contract – he now intends to take legal action.

For his part, Declan Breen of DPB Construction says the subcontractors had agreed to a settlement which saw them get 60% of the original contracts.
