A young boy and three motorcyclists have died in a terrible weekend on Ireland’s roads.

The boy – aged 6 – passed away at Temple Street Childrens’ Hospital on Sunday after being knocked down and seriously injured on Friday evening on Dublin’s Shanganagh Road.

The three motorcyclists died in separate crashes in Limerick and Dublin on Saturday night.

92 people have lost their lives on the roads this year – and road safety chiefs say that’s 92 deaths too many.

The Road Safety Authority, the AA and the Gardai are all appealing for motorists to take extra care on the roads – heading into this August bank holiday weekend.
