A Tipperary school has been honoured by the Road Safety Authority.
The student council in Colaiste Mhuire Co-Ed in Thurles lobbied Tipperary County Council earlier this year to have a wall near the school demolished to improve safety.
The wall in question was part of the boundary of Semple Stadium.
School Principal Denis Quinn says they students managed to persuade Council Engineers and other relevant groups to take action.
