Restrictions lifted at Nenagh General Hospital.


Visiting restrictions have been lifted at Nenagh General Hospital.

The restrictions were introduced last week following the confirmation of three cases of the bug C difficile.

Admissions to the hospitals female medical ward were also suspended and the patients affected were isolated.

Infection control procedures were intensified at Nenagh General as a result of the outbreak.

A deep clean and fumigation of the affected areas has now been completed according to the HSE with the hospital re-opened to admissions.
