Residents in Borrisokane are being reassured that the iconic rows of trees on the Nenagh approach road will not be cut down.
They have been in place for over 200 years and require some pruning and other work but its left some fearful they may be chopped down.
However Councillor Michael O’Meara doesn’t envisage that happening.
