Relief as AED undamaged in Thurles defibrillator unit vandalism

Damage which was caused to a vital Public Access Defibrillator in Thurles over the weekend is not as bad as initially feared.

While the box which houses the machine was completely destroyed, the AED itself was not damaged.

Efforts are now being made to restore the life saving device back to its home at Thurles Greyhound Stadium as quickly as possible. Gardaí are investigating the incident.
