Pre-Christmas boost for Tipperary retailers.

It's hoped a €30 thousand funding injection for towns and villages across South Tipp will pay dividends for retailers in the run up to Christmas.

The money being provided by the county council will be used to implement targeted retail activity ahead of the festive season.

The local authority along with the County Enterprise Board have also put in place an additional fund to provide training to traders over the coming weeks .

Local Fine Gael Councillor Michael Murphy says boosting local trade in turn gives the local economy a much needed lift.
