Prospective Fine Gael candidates in the Tipperary constituency will throw their hat in the ring at a special convention in the county next month.
The party lost both its seats in the county in the last general election with Tom Hayes and Noel Coonan failing to be re-elected.
The Declaration Convention will be held at The Ragg on September 15th.
Already Clonmel based County Councillor Michael Murphy has announced his intention to seek the nomination.
Speaking on Tipp Today Fine Gael policy officer for Tipperary Mary Newman said they expect a number of others to put their name forward.
