Nenagh Councillor Seamie Morris has described as “sensationalist” claims that his recent row within his former party Sinn Fein, led to him considering suicide.
The article was carried in the Independant yesterday and quoted Cllr Morris as saying that the debacle brought him to a dark place where he considered taking his own life.
An internal row within the party led to Cllr Morris’ expulsion from Sinn Fein in which he had served as a member for many years.
Following his expulsion in June, Seamie Morris said there was a dark and toxic element working within the party.
