Anger at plans to move Newport voters to Limerick

People in Newport are shocked at the decision of the boundary commission that over 4,000 Tipperary voters should be moved over to Limerick.

The commission has also ruled that the Lower Ormond area of North Tipp should be returned to Tipperary for the next general election.

But they’ve decided that Newport and Birdhill should become part of Limerick.

These locals in Newport have been telling Tipp FM News that they’re not happy about it.
