The number of planning applications being rejected as invalid by Tipperary County Council has reached unacceptable levels.

The local authority has confirmed that it’s risen as high as 30 percent because they have to enforce the letter of the law to all cases.

Local Councillors are critical that this is hurting development in the Premier County.

Fianna Fail’s Seamus Hanafin says this is a systemic error that needs to be addressed.
