Parents are being urged to talk to their children about online safety.

A conference in Dublin is being held by the National Organisation for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers – where delegates are hearing about the prevalence of sexting in schools.

But at present, the school curriculum doesn’t cover the sharing of sexual images.

Wayne Denner, motivational speaker and online expert, says for the most part, parents don’t know about the latest apps used for sexting, but he doesn’t recommend banning them.
