Oral Hearing opens into Killaloe Bypass – Shannon Crossing

An Agricultural Consultant acting on behalf of a number of farmers has spoken out against the CPO system being used for the Killaloe Bypass – Shannon Crossing.

Tipperary based Richard Rea has addressed the Oral Hearing into the  project which is being held at the Abbey Court Hotel in Nenagh.

He claims that Clare County Council has refused to engage in a  meaningful manner, compared to the positive way in which North and South Tipperary County Councils operated in relation to the M7 and M8 projects.

Richard Rea said Clare County Council only responded to submissions made by him in May in the last week.

The landowners who have been served with a CPO are rejecting  the offer made by Clare County Council saying they are not prepared to accept the local authorities’ substandard design and lack of legal commitment.
