One child without a bed at Tipperary’s main hospital

643 patients are on trolleys in hospitals across the country today.

According to the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation Tipperary’s main hospital is the only facility in the country where a child is without a bed.

In all there are 18 patients on trolleys at South Tipp General this lunchtime.

Meanwhile at University Hospital Limerick – which covers North Tipp – there are 42 people without a bed.

The worst affected is Cork University Hospital where 59 patients are waiting for beds.
