North Tipperary Councillors want clarification of plans to supply water to Dublin.

Representatives from Dublin City Council have been asked to come before North Tipp County Council to clarify plans to extract millions of gallons of water from Lough Derg.

North Tipp Councillors have been divided on plans by Dublin City Council to extract the water to boost dwindling supplies in the capital.

But at the recent meeting of North Tipp Council a number of Councillors asked for representatives from Dublin to appear before them for a second time in order to clarify concerns that were expressed during the initial presentation earlier this year.

Councillor Jim Casey also said he was not going to tolerate the condescending attitude that they had previously shown.
