Newspaper says Lowry UK land is worth millions.

A national newspaper is today insisting that land co-owned by Deputy Michael Lowry in the UK is worth millions.

This is despite claims by the North Tipperary T.D that the land near Wigan does not merit being included in Dail register of members interests which requires all lands worth more than €13,000 to be listed.

The Irish Examiner article claims an agent handling the UK property said a buyer would do well to acquire the land for less than €6.7 million.

The agent was contacted by the newspaper posing as a potential buyer for the site on the outskirts of Wigan.

Deputy Lowry has previously told Tipp FM that the tract of land is not earmarked for rezoning and as such remains virtually worthless as it is landlocked.
