New county council figures show the number of planning applications submitted in the Thurles Templemore District in 2016 is up on the previous year
219 were lodged in 2016, an increase of 40.
170 were approved for construction up slightly on 2015 but the number of decisions refused has almost doubled from 5 to 9.
