The British Ambassador has accepted an invitation to visit the Rock of Cashel.
Deputy Tom Hayes confirmed yesterday that the newly appointed British diplomat Dominick Chilcott will make his visit next Friday May 18th.
The Fine Gael T.D. issued the invitation to commemmorate last year's visit by Queen Elizabeth to the Rock.
Since then there has been a noticeable increase in British visitors to the national heritage site, according to Deputy Hayes.
