Nenagh community activist Brendan Murphy has joined the Lowry Group.
He had unsuccessfully contested May’s local elections for Fianna Fáil and then left the party in October, citing a lack of party support.
Speaking on Tipp Today earlier, Murphy said he will be standing by his own political goals and Michael Lowry’s backing will allow him to help more people.
