More Tipperary companies urged to take part in JobBridge scheme.

Companies in Tipperary are being urged to get involved in the JobBridge National Internship Scheme.

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton says the scheme has proven beneficial to both jobseekers and businesses and is urging more companies to participate.

The latest figures show that 550 people have participated in the JobBridge scheme across Tipperary since its launch.

JobBridge was launched by Minister Burton in June 2011 to help jobseekers gain work experience and acquire new skills – since then more than 16,700 people across the country have participated in the scheme.

As of May 16th last 352 people had completed their Internship with companies in Tipperary while another 198 were underway in the county.
