McCann’s believe Madeleine is still alive

Madeleine McCann’s parents say they believe she’s still alive, a decade after the 3-year-old English girl vanished from their holiday apartment in Portugal.

Kate and Gerry have also been defending the 13 million euro spent by British police investigating her disappearance.

Scotland Yard says it still has a significant lead to follow.

Police analyst Graham Wettone explains why this is possible, 10 years on.

He says loyalties often change, or people have a change of heart years after an incident has taken place.

The parents of Madeleine McCann also say online trolls have shocked and hurt them in the ten years since she was abducted.

Kate and Gerry McCann say they try to focus on messages from well-wishers instead.

Speaking ahead of the anniversary of their daughter’s disappearance on Wednesday, they say they’re no less hopeful of finding her.
