Manager of South Tipp General says acute services are not an option at Our Lady’s.

The General Manager of South Tipperary General Hospital says splitting services between Clonmel and Cashel is not necessarily the answer to overcrowding problems

Following his visit Minister Harris said Our Lady's in Cashel needs to play a greater role in the health services of Tipperary.

However he admitted that HIQA would have a view in relation to step-down beds which may rule out such a move.

Speaking after the Ministers visit General Manager of South Tipp General Maria Barry said while Cashel can play a part it will not be for acute services.
