An elderly woman was left shocked but thankfully unhurt following an incident in Clonmel yesterday afternoon.
The woman was walking in the town centre at around 4pm when she had her handbag snatched.
Gardai arrested a local man in his 20's a short time later – he is due to appear at Cashel District Court today.
The handbag and its contents were recovered.
