The Cloughjordan trainer was quick to praise his winning jockey Billy Lee for his efforts aboard Eric The Grey in the David Heneghan Memorial Rated Race at Ballinrobe last evening.
Just a length and a half separated the first four home in the race, with Eric The Grey and Lee holding off the challenge of Truly Delightful by just a half a length at the winning line.
Lee struck to the front on the 11-2 shot before the furlong marker and was never headed up the Ballinrobe straight.
The 5-4 favourite Newton's Night finished third.
