Large numbers awaiting admission at South Tipp General.

 

The Accident & Emergency department at South Tipperary General Hospital is dealing with large numbers of patients today.

According to the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation 16 people who have been admitted to the hospital are waiting on trolleys for a hospital bed.

The figures at the Clonmel facility are part of a national total of 221 waiting on trolleys today – the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick also has 16 while Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda has double this at 32.
