Laffan not overconfident ahead of final

The manager of Loughmore-Castleiney is rejecting suggestions that the Mid Tipp club have the Tipperary Water Senior Football Championship title 'in the bag'.

Declan Laffan doesn't accept that his side will be favourites to get the better Moyle Rovers in the final after knocking out title holders Clonmel Commercials yesterday.

He believes they'll have to be at the top of their game to claim the county crown.

Moyle Rovers boss Liam Cronin is delighted his team came through their last four tie with Kilsheelan-Kilcash.

Last year's beaten finalists recorded a comfortable victory against their fellow South Tipp outfit to book their place in the decider.

Their manager says dealing with the challenges posed by the penultimate stage are never easy to deal with.

The Tipperary Water Senior Football Championship Final will be played at Leahy Park, Cashel, next Sunday.

The Munster club quarter final between Doctor Crokes of Kerry and Kilmurray – Ih-brickane of Clare will take place next Sunday in Quilty with a 1 o'clock throw in.

Kilmurray – Ih-brickane won the Clare county final replay against Cratloe yesterday while Doctor Crokes overcame Kenmare Districts in the Kingdom decider last week.
