A Tipperary County Councillor has decried the lack of funding earmarked for street lighting in the local authority budget for 2019.
Councillor Jim Ryan insists that certain areas are particularly dangerous due to the lack of adequate street lighting.
The independent representative feels that the lack of lighting in some 50 kilometre zones is a hazard to children.
Councillor Ryan has expressed his frustration at the lack of action on the issue.
