Labour Senator critical of Household Charge collection methods

A Tipperary Senator has criticised the way in which the Household Charge is being levied.

Speaking in the Seanad Labour's Denis Landy said the memory of the sheriff and battering rams was still in the memories of the Irish people.

The Carrick on Suir based public representative said as long as he was a member of the House he would not stand for anyone bringing this threatening fashion of collecting money.
